After experiencing zero player departures via the transfer portal last season, Duke basketball has seen a significant shift, with seven players opting to transfer out this offseason. Recent departures include Jeremy Roach and Mark Mitchell, who have committed to Baylor and Missouri, respectively. However, the destinations of the other former Blue Devils remain unknown.

This could change soon, as two-year Blue Devil Jaden Schutt has begun scheduling visits to potential new teams.

According to a report by Travis Branham of 247Sports, Jaden Schutt, a 6-foot-5 transfer guard and former four-star recruit, has completed a visit to Dayton and is now planning visits to Butler, Wisconsin, DePaul, and ACC school Virginia Tech. Schutt, a native of Illinois, spent two seasons at Duke, playing sparingly as a freshman before missing his entire sophomore season due to injury.

He averaged 2.1 points, 1.1 rebounds, and 0.4 assists in 14 appearances as a freshman, shooting 35.0 percent from three-point range. Ranked No. 75 overall in the 247Sports 2022 Composite, Schutt arrived at Duke as part of head coach Jon Scheyer’s highly touted recruiting class.

After redshirting last season, Schutt will have three years of eligibility remaining wherever he decides to transfer. Duke basketball still has four other outbound transfers who are currently uncommitted: freshmen forwards TJ Power and Sean Stewart, sophomore center Christian Reeves, and junior guard Jaylen Blakes.
