Elite Point Guard Anticipates Contact from Duke Basketball

Published

on

In about six weeks, Duke basketball and other coaches nationwide will begin contacting 2026 prospects directly. One standout to watch is Lynwood High School guard Jason Crowe Jr.

Duke has had success with California talent, like Jared McCain last season. Crowe, ranked No. 8 overall and No. 2 among point guards in the 247Sports 2026 Composite, has expressed interest in Duke, among other schools.

While UCLA is the only school to have offered Crowe Jr. so far, he hopes to hear from Duke, Kentucky, USC, and UCLA when colleges are allowed to contact rising high school juniors on June 15.

Crowe Jr. is considering both the overseas route and college as paths to his NBA aspirations, as he told Rivals’ Rob Cassidy.

Duke head coach Jon Scheyer has yet to engage with any 2026 prospects, but this is expected to change after summer scouting and outreach efforts begin at AAU events.
