Extraordinary: Grizzlies’ point guard Ja Morant was involved in an accident while on his way to practice for training.

Darius Morris, aged 33, tragically passed away, as reported by Shams Charania of The Athletic and Stadium. Morris had a four-season career in the NBA, playing for the Los Angeles Lakers, Memphis Grizzlies, Los Angeles Clippers, Philadelphia 76ers, and Brooklyn Nets from 2011 to 2015.

Charania tweeted, “Four-year NBA veteran Darius Morris has passed away at the age of 33. Morris played for the Lakers, 76ers, Clippers, Grizzlies, and Nets from 2011-2015.”

Morris, a former Michigan college basketball player, had notable averages of 9.9 points, 2.9 rebounds, and 4.8 assists per game, with shooting percentages of 46.9% from the field and 22.3% from three-point range in 67 games (53 starts) over two seasons.

Selected as the 41st pick in the 2011 NBA Draft, Morris spent his initial two seasons with the Los Angeles Lakers, where he had the opportunity to play alongside basketball icons such as Kobe Bryant, Pau Gasol, Metta World Peace, Steve Nash, Dwight Howard, and Derek Fisher.
