The Nebraska coach is praising the culture of the team.

According to Mitch Sherman of The Athletic, Rhule recently discussed the improving culture within the Nebraska football program:

“I believe we’re moving in that direction,” Rhule remarked. “Compared to last year, it’s been a significant improvement, like night and day.”

The second-year coach is quick to point out that Rhule’s program did not have a bad culture last season. It was only novel.

He stated, “Now everyone is aware of what to anticipate.”‘”

The previous season, the Cornhuskers had a 5-7 record overall, including a 3-6 record in the Big Ten. As the football fans in Nebraska hope for a comeback season, Coach Rhule is currently getting ready for it.

Rhule reports that their traditional spring game, which is set for April 27, will go off at 11 a.m.

His justification is straightforward: by starting earlier, players will be able to arrive the night before and spend a “long Saturday” with the Nebraska football coaches.

In terms of recruiting, Nebraska football was ranked 31st in the nation in 2023. A few well-known athletes were signed by Coach Rhule in 2024, among them Willis McGahee IV, the son of the former football standout for the Miami Hurricanes.

In 2024, the Cornhuskers will face a stronger Big Ten Conference that will feature UCLA, USC, Oregon, and Washington, four new Pac-12 members.

Legendary coach Bill Belichick is also traveling to Lincoln to support the football program at Nebraska. The former head coach of the Patriots will appear as a guest at the Nebraska Football X&O Clinic. It is scheduled on April 5–6. Rhule was the one who organized everything. Hopefully, it will improve the Cornhuskers’ comprehension of their respective roles in set plays and schemes.
