Former Browns Defender Talks About The Steelers’ Rivalry

Perhaps not even the most ardent Cleveland Browns supporters are aware that Kalon Barnes was ever a member of the team.

Officially, the quick cornerback signed to the practice squad following Week 18 and concluded the 2023 campaign with Cleveland.

That is sufficient to declare Barnes an ex-Brown even though he was not able to participate in the Wild-Card game.

Steelers Takeaways (via Steelers Takeaways on Twitter) questioned him about the rivalry now that he is back with the Pittsburgh Steelers.

Barnes had enough time to establish an opinion about the Browns during his week-long postseason preparation with Jim Schwartz.

He stated on the Steelers fan site that both teams are disciplined, and he provided Mike Tomlin’s words with them prior to their Week 2 matchup, just in case there was any doubt.

“We’re not fond of them.” They are not fond of us. However, we’ll play our part, Tomlin declared.

It was also not surprising how Pittsburgh won the game.

It was stressed to defensive players that keeping Nick Chubb below 100 yards was essential.

Chubb’s season was halted by a nasty hit from Minkah Fitzpatrick just as he was about to get going in that game.

The hard setback prevented Cleveland’s offense from emotionally or tactically rebounding.
