Former Hibs player calls on club to buck their “horrendous” performance against the Rangers

When the international break ends this weekend, the Scottish Premiership action resumes. A thrilling matchup between Hibs and Rangers awaits, as Hearts welcome Kilmarnock to Tynecastle.

Let’s take a look at some of the most recent stories in Scotland’s top flight as the kickoffs on Saturday draw near.

This Saturday, Hibs will make the trip to Ibrox to play Rangers, who are defending champions, for the second time this month. When the teams previously faced off in the Scottish Cup quarterfinals, Jordan Obita and Nathan Moriah-Welsh were both given red cards, which resulted in a 2-0 victory for the Gers and a nine-man Hibee team.

Tam McManus, a former Hibs player, has criticized his old team for their ‘horrendous’ record against the Rangers and said that it is ‘absolutely unacceptable’ that they have lost their last 20 league games. Prior to the match this weekend, the analyst wrote for the Daily Record’s print edition.

McManus also thinks Emiliano Marcondes, a talent on loan from Barcelona, may ‘hold the key’ to securing Hibs’ much-needed success over the Glasgow giants and, consequently, to completely destabilize the title battle once more.
