Former NFL player Vontae Davis found dead at his Florida home.

Vontae Davis, a former NFL player, was discovered dead at his South Florida home on Monday, according to news reports from CNN. The 10-year NFL career of Davis, a two-time Pro Bowl cornerback, including stints with the Indianapolis Colts, Buffalo Bills, and Miami Dolphins.

In 121 NFL games, the 35-year-old made 22 interceptions and 97 pass deflections. According to the Davie Police Department, when officers responded to a report and went to Davis’ residence, they discovered Davis’ body inside. Additionally, according to police, an initial inquiry ruled out foul involvement in his demise.

Following his time at Illinois, Davis was chosen by the Miami Dolphins with the 25th pick in the first round of the 2009 NFL Draft. In 2012, the Dolphins moved him to the Colts, where he went on to have a fantastic career. To keep playing for the Colts, Davis inked a four-year, $39 million contract in 2014.
