FOX Sports analyst Joel Klatt expressed great enthusiasm for Texas’ prospects in the upcoming 2024 college football season. Klatt highlighted the return of quarterback Quinn Ewers and praised the team’s potential on “The Joel Klatt Show.”

He particularly anticipated seeing Ewers’ development as he enters his third season with the Longhorns. Klatt emphasized Ewers’ importance to Texas’ resurgence in college football and predicted that Ewers could be the leading contender for the Heisman Trophy in 2024, alongside Carson Beck of Georgia.

Klatt anticipates a standout season for Ewers, tipping him as the frontrunner for the Heisman Trophy alongside Carson Beck of Georgia. He highlighted Texas’ efforts to bolster their wide receiver corps through the transfer portal, bringing in talents like Isaiah Bond from Alabama, Matthew Golden from Houston, and Silas Bolden from Oregon State, to compensate for the departure of players like Xavier Worthy and Adonai Mitchell to the NFL Draft.

Additionally, Klatt pointed out the returning talent within Texas’ roster, including Johntay Cook II, Ryan Wingo, CJ Baxter, and Jaydon Blue. With a formidable offensive line and a solid defense, Klatt expects Texas to excel in the upcoming season.
