FRANCES TIAFOE QUIPS TO CARLOS ALCARAZ PRIOR TO INDIAN WELLS TITLE DEFENCE See More…
Carlos Alcaraz has been putting more effort into getting ready for his Indian Wells title defense. Alcaraz chose to snap a photo of himself with the trophy on the wall of reigning champions when he recently returned to the location of his victory.
Following his Instagram upload of the video with the remark, “happy to be back,” Frances Tiafoe said, “I don’t remember you winning bro.”
Laughing back, Alcaraz said, “hahahaha me neither, that’s why I took a picture of that photo.” Men’s doubles winners Matthew Ebden and Rohan Bopanna, women’s doubles champions Barbora Krejcikova and Katerina Siniakova, and women’s singles defending champion Elena Rybakina are all included on the wall.
After having to withdraw from the Rio Open, Alcaraz will be hoping to be fully fit for the start of the Sunshine Double. First up, Indian Wells on Friday, March 8.
