Bristol City manager Liam Manning has provided an update on the availability of Scott Twine, who is on loan from Burnley and recently returned from injury. Twine was named on the bench for Bristol City’s recent match against Swansea City but did not feature, and Manning stated that he was available but would have only been given minimal minutes if he had played. The midfielder has only made one appearance for Bristol City since joining on loan in the January transfer window.

Manning’s decision not to risk Twine in the recent game suggests that he may not be fully fit yet. However, with a break in training scheduled for Tuesday, Twine will have an opportunity to regain full fitness ahead of Bristol City’s next Championship fixture against West Brom on Saturday.

Twine had previously spent the first half of the season on loan at Hull City, where he scored four goals in 26 matches across all competitions. He joined Burnley in the summer of 2022 after impressing at MK Dons and helped them secure promotion to the Premier League in his debut season. However, Burnley loaned him out to Bristol City for regular playing time in the Championship this term.
