The 2024 Wooden Award winner, Iowa Hawkeyes standout Caitlin Clark, was announced on Tuesday. She won the prize for being the most outstanding player in women’s college basketball for the second consecutive year.

Among the finalists were Paige Bueckers of UConn, Cameron Brink of Stanford, JuJu Watkins of USC, and Hannah Hidalgo of Notre Dame. However, Clark emerged victorious.

Both in her career and this season, Clark created history. She finished with 3,951 more points than any other Division I player, both men’s and women’s. With a career total of 1,144 assists, she is the only Division I women’s player to have more than 3,000 points and 1,000 assists. She had 990 rebounds as well.

Her 548 3-pointers made this year, along with her Division I lifetime records of 28.42 points per game, set single-season records with 1,234 points.

The Indiana Fever are predicted to select Clark with the first overall pick in this Monday’s WNBA draft.
