A timeline has been set for Mitch Lewis’ return, with the Hawks forward expected to play in one to two weeks.

Hawthorn High Performance Manager Peter Burge reported that the 25-year-old is making steady progress in recovering from a knee injury.

Here’s a summary of the Round 13 Nissan Injury Update:

Mitch Lewis (knee) – 1-2 weeks: “Mitch is doing really well. He started some football training today and will do more this week. If progress continues, we hope to see him in a game next week.”

Lloyd Meek (ankle) – Test: “Progress is slow. He’s used the AlterG treadmill but hasn’t run outside yet. We’ll reassess later in the week and need significant improvement for availability.”

Ethan Phillips (knee) – TBC: “His knee issue flared up again last week. He won’t play this weekend as we seek more information and advice. It’s a short-term issue.”

Jai Serong (concussion) – Test: “He’s doing well and just needs to complete the final concussion protocol stages to be available this week.”

Will McCabe (back) – 1-2 weeks: “His back injury is fine, and he’s progressing in training. He did a full session today and will train again Thursday. We aim for limited minutes in match play next week.”

Clay Tucker (concussion) – 1 week: “After a head knock last Thursday, he must complete the 12-day concussion protocol, missing this weekend. He’s expected to return next week.”

Jack O’Sullivan (hamstring) – 1-2 weeks: “His injury is in a holding pattern due to some awareness he’s reporting. He’s not available this week and likely not next week. We need to ensure a proper recovery with our medical team’s guidance.”
