Zaydrius Rainey-Sale, the standout high school football player considered the top recruit in the state for 2025, has been swift in his decision-making process. Initially committing to the University of Washington on January 8, just hours after the Huskies played in the national championship game, the 4-star linebacker made headlines again by de-committing within an hour of learning that coach Kalen DeBoer was leaving for Alabama four days later.

In a recent positive turn of events, the University of Washington, now under the guidance of Jedd Fisch’s new coaching staff, sought to rekindle their recruiting connection with Rainey-Sale. The Huskies re-offered him, signaling a potential revival of their relationship.
