The Boston Bruins enter NHL free office with north of $21 million in cap space and a few players inside the organization that common supervisor Wear Sweeney must choose to re-sign or let walk.

Sweeney said at the Bruins’ end-of-season press conference that DeBrusk may be a “big part” of the team’s future and trusts to hold the 27-year-old.

Bruins head coach Jim Montgomery accepts DeBrusk is entering his prime and has been a diversion changer for the establishment.

“I think his NHL future is shinning. His career has been truly great so distant, and he’s coming into his prime,” Montgomery said on the “NHL Wraparound Podcast.” “You see at how great he was for us within the playoffs this year … after playing with a few wounds amid the year.”

Montgomery proceeded:
“One thing you take note, that I truly taken note is that each time I talked to him one-on-one, he was exceptionally legitimate almost where he thought his play was. In 465 recreations for the Bruins, DeBrusk scored 138 objectives and included 128 helps. He had a career-high in focuses (50) with 27 objectives and 23 helps in 64 games amid Boston’s record-breaking 2022-23 season.

His generation was down within the 2023-24 season with 19 objectives and 21 helps in 80 recreations but DeBrusk conceded he broke his hand amid the season that didn’t recuperate until right some time recently the postseason.
