Despite their impressive regular-season performance and status as one of the most consistent teams over the past three years, the Dallas Cowboys have struggled when faced with adversity. In the 2023 season, they entered the playoffs boasting the NFL’s highest points per game average at 30.1ppg and had secured 12 wins for the third consecutive year. However, their playoff journey ended abruptly in the Wild Card round with a resounding defeat at the hands of the Green Bay Packers.

Despite enjoying a flawless home record at AT&T Stadium, going 8-0 during the regular season, the Cowboys faltered in the playoffs against the Packers, who emerged victorious with a comfortable 48-32 win. Despite a late surge in garbage time that narrowed the score gap, the defeat highlighted the Cowboys’ struggles to perform when it mattered most, casting doubt on the true extent of their regular-season dominance.
