The Atlanta Braves have made a significant move as Opening Day approaches rapidly. Fan-favorite utilityman Charlie Culberson has been released by the club on Friday.

At 34 years old, Culberson had agreed to a minor league deal with the Braves in January and appeared as a reliever in three Spring Training games. However, despite his popularity among Braves fans, Culberson faced considerable challenges in making the major league roster as a pitcher. With his release, Culberson is now a free agent, and Braves fans hope he finds a new opportunity with another club.

As we await the start of the season, let’s take a moment to reflect on some impactful Braves players who didn’t make the Opening Day roster.
