Entering the offseason, LSU men’s basketball coach Matt McMahon was shorthanded on perimeter players since starting guards Jordan Wright and Trae Hannibal had finished their eligibility.

He was able to fill the spot in the last week with two players who are anticipated to join Mike Williams, a sophomore, and incoming freshman Curtis Givens in the Tigers’ new-look backcourt for the upcoming campaign.

Initially, McMahon selected Kansas State’s Cam Carter through the transfer site. Vyctorius Miller gave him a commitment on Thursday night, and he is anticipated to formally announce it on April 17 when the spring signing period opens.

In LSU’s 2024 recruiting class, the 6-foot-5, 170-pound Miller joins Robert Miller of Houston and Givens, a Memphis native who played for Montverde Academy in Florida this season.

Givens and the two Millers, who are all considered four-star talents, helped LSU move up to 13th place in 247Sports and On3.com’s national recruiting rankings.

Vyctorius Miller is the nephew of rapper Master P and the son of Vyshonn Miller, better known as Silkk the Shocker. They both originated in New Orleans.

After Oregon released him from his national sign of commitment last month, the younger Miller—who played this season at Irvine Crean Lutheran in California—selected LSU.

In November of last year, he chose the Ducks over Southern California, LSU, Gonzaga, and the G-League United.

According to the On3 rankings, Vyctorius Miller is the 67th best player overall and the 14th best shooting guard in the country.

Robert Miller, a 6-10, 225-pound power big, is ranked No. 46 overall and the eighth-best prospect in the country at his position, while Givens, a 6-3, 180-pound player, is rated as the No. 10 point guard in the country.
