During his ten starts in 2023, the 6’3 and 243-pound Bowers caught 56 passes for 714 receiving yards (averaging 12.8 yards per reception) and six touchdown receptions. This earned him a spot on the unanimous All-American First-Team and the John Mackey Award, which is given to the best tight end in college football (*the latter for a consecutive season).

Bowers is thought to be one of the top tight end prospects to emerge in recent years and is the quintessential “move” tight end of the modern era. As the ultimate “yards-after-catch” machine, Bowers’ versatility as a receiver makes him a potent weapon. He can catch passes in the flats, slot, on screens, etc. He is explosive down the seam, though.
The animosity between Steve Mariucci and Terrell Owens shaped T.O.’s whole career.
Ignore whatever youlearn about Terrell Owens and his insanity both on and off the field—well, absurdity fits there, too. But set all of that aside. This is Owens’ beginning story—how he got to be the T.O. that we know today. And essentially, beef is to blame for it. This is the tale of how Steve Mariucci and Terrell Owens couldn’t get along in a way that benefited anyone but T.O. A few minor mistakes: Jeff Garcia was actually 29 years old when I mentioned he was a rookie at 1:53! And that was actually their second game together after arriving in San Francisco at 10:39. I apologize for it. absorbing my punishment in secrecy. A talented tight end is frequently thought of as a young quarterback’s greatest friend, and Bowers has already been compared to former 49ers player

Dallas Clark, a former great of the Colts team, and All-Pro George Kittle.

In light of all the ways Colts head coach Shane Steichen might use Bowers in his play-calling, it would be difficult to be unhappy with this selection.

The only complaint might be that, with Jelani Woods expected to return from season-ending hamstring problems, the Colts have a greater immediate need at cornerback than wide receiver, where Alec Pierce has been a little too unreliable.

Bowers, though, might support Richardson’s further development and give the Colts a dynamic, adaptable playmaker who could help elevate this offense.
