In the NRL Casualty Ward, Knights fullback Kalyn Ponga sustained ligament damage to his foot during Sunday’s match against the Bulldogs. Ponga, who had been carrying a hip pointer injury into the game, was forced to leave the field in the 52nd minute and was subsequently placed in a moon boot. Coach Adam O’Brien expressed concern over the rare foot injury, likening it to a Lisfranc injury, and stated that scans would provide further details.

Additionally, Raiders halfback Jamal Fogarty faces an extended period on the sidelines after suffering a bicep injury during Saturday night’s match against the Broncos. Fogarty played on after sustaining the injury in the first half but ultimately succumbed to a ruptured bicep at halftime. He is expected to undergo surgery, with a potential 12-week recovery period.

Other notable injuries include Rabbitohs prop Tevita Tatola, who underwent surgery for a fractured foot and is facing up to 12 weeks out, and Titans fullback Jayden Campbell, who is sidelined for at least a month with a knee injury. Dolphins fullback Hamiso Tabuai-Fidow is also set to miss a month of action due to a grade two hamstring tear, while Parramatta lost five-eighth Daejarn Asi to a head knock during their match against the Dolphins.
