The Utah Jazz embark on a three-game road trip as they head to face the Atlanta Hawks.

On Tuesday night, the Utah Jazz will hit the road to face the Atlanta Hawks, a matchup that holds significance with their former head coach, Quinn Snyder, now leading the Hawks. However, Atlanta will be without their leading scorer, Trae Young, who is sidelined with a finger injury and will undergo re-evaluation in four weeks. Additionally, Onyeka Okongwu is out with a toe injury and will be re-evaluated in two weeks. In contrast, the Jazz come into the game with a fully healthy roster.

Despite being in the Eastern Conference, this game carries weight in the standings for both teams. Of particular interest to Jazz fans is whether Utah’s first-round pick this year will be conveyed. If the Jazz finish in the bottom ten, they retain the pick; otherwise, it goes to the Oklahoma City Thunder. Currently, Utah sits in the 11th spot, holding just a 1.5-game lead over the Hawks in the win-loss column.

Following trades involving Kelly Olynyk, Simone Fontecchio, and Ochai Agbaji, the Jazz have faced challenges, but they managed to secure a victory in their first game post-All-Star break against the San Antonio Spurs. Rookies Taylor Hendricks and Brice Sensabaugh are beginning to showcase their potential, earning permanent spots in the rotation and striving to prove their worth as the season progresses. Their development over the Jazz’s remaining 24 games will be a key storyline as the 2023-24 season draws to a close. Tip-off for tonight’s game is at 5:30 p.m. MST.
