INJURY REPORT: North Melbourne Rising Star to miss clash with the Western Bulldogs Due to…..
North Melbourne’s promising young talent, Harry Sheezel, will miss his first-ever AFL game this weekend due to an ankle injury. The reigning Telstra AFL Rising Star, who has been a fixture in the Kangaroos’ lineup since his debut in 2023, was hurt during North Melbourne’s recent loss to West Coast. His injury, which could potentially cut his season short, means he will not be available for the upcoming match against the Western Bulldogs at Marvel Stadium.
Sheezel’s absence is notable, as he has played every game since his debut, and his presence on the field has been a constant for the Kangaroos. Coach Alastair Clarkson addressed the situation, noting that while the injury is minor, Sheezel’s consistent participation has been a significant part of the team’s strategy. Clarkson explained that they are taking every precaution to manage Sheezel’s recovery, including placing him in a boot to keep weight off his injured ankle.
Meanwhile, there is a glimmer of hope with George Wardlaw, who may return to the squad after missing the previous game due to a concussion. Wardlaw, who trained fully on Thursday, was placed in concussion protocols twice this season, affecting his availability. Clarkson expressed optimism that Wardlaw, who has shown resilience despite setbacks, could contribute positively once again.
Despite these challenges, North Melbourne remains upbeat and focused on their upcoming game. Clarkson emphasized the importance of maintaining a positive outlook as the team prepares to face the Western Bulldogs, aiming to deliver a strong performance despite the current setbacks
