The Seattle Mariners have reinstated second baseman Jorge Polanco from the injured list and have demoted fellow infielder Tyler Locklear back to Triple-A Tacoma as of Monday.

Polanco, aged 30, was placed on the 10-day IL on May 27 due to a right hamstring strain. He currently holds a batting average of .195 with five home runs and 14 RBIs in 46 games during his inaugural season with Seattle.

A former All-Star in 2019, Polanco boasts a career .265 batting average with 117 home runs and 461 RBIs across 878 games played for the Minnesota Twins (2014-23) and the Mariners.

On the other hand, Locklear, aged 23, recently made his major league debut on June 9 and recorded a batting average of .200 (6-for-30) with two home runs and three RBIs in 11 games.
