McKenna commended his players for driving the performance, highlighting their focus, application, and high-quality play across all phases of the game. He particularly enjoyed moments in the second half where they showcased their abilities.

The manager emphasized that the focus was on performance rather than points or standings, aiming to demonstrate their identity at Portman Road effectively. Even with a 3-0 lead at halftime, they aimed to maintain a high level of performance in the second half, which they successfully achieved.

In addition to their attacking prowess, McKenna praised the team’s defensive efforts, leading to a notable clean sheet. They defended well, pressed effectively, and handled set-pieces efficiently against a dangerous opponent.

However, the afternoon was marred by an injury to Wes Burns, who suffered a hamstring problem in the first half. McKenna expressed disappointment for Burns, acknowledging his excellent performance before the injury. The severity of the injury will be assessed in the coming days. Despite this setback, Kayden Jackson’s strong performance after coming on as a substitute reflected positively on the team’s depth and readiness to step up when needed.
