Is Sheffield United going to reevaluate their deal for the striker they scouted?

Senegal international Habib Diallo, who was linked to Sheffield United (The Star) earlier in the summer, has been told he can leave Al Shabab this summer. The 28-year-old signed a contract with the Saudi Arabian club for approximately €20 million from Strasbourg last summer. Diallo scored 20 goals in his previous league campaign in France. Multiple sources have reported that United scouted the striker during his time in Ligue 1. According to transfer insider Ben Jacobs via caughtoffside, a number of Premier League clubs are reportedly keeping a close eye on Diallo. Brentford, Burnley, and Fulham have been credited with interest; Fulham, in particular, may view the Senegal forward as a less expensive alternative to Chelsea’s Armando Broja.

While the top-tier teams in question all value the goal scorer at approximately £10 million, Al Shabab is willing to accept a loss on Diallo. The player is reportedly open to accepting a compensation decrease.

Could Habib Diallo tempt Sheffield United?
Most people will look down on this kind of sale, but since he checks a number of boxes, I believe it might make sense at the proper price.

He moves quickly, circumnavigates, and poses a threat to breach the defense. He has scored 104 goals in 253 league appearances in France, demonstrating his ability to score goals. Furthermore, he would provide us with availability and expertise at the top of the pitch, something that supporters have expressed concern about with Oli McBurnie.

Considering within five of the six feasible terms (a season’s maximum of 38 games). It’s obvious that he is a capable forward who can be trusted in front of goal. Considering he has only played for teams in the bottom half of the table, his goal return in the top league (53 in 150) is quite respectable.

Diallo might be within our grasp given that he has previously been on our radar and that he is willing to accept a pay cut; perhaps Iliman Ndiaye can make a strong case for us.
