The most recent transfer rumors pertaining to Sunderland that have surfaced online ahead of the summer window.
Over the past few days, Sunderland defender Dan Ballard has been linked to a move to Premier League team Everton; the Black Cats are allegedly also looking to add a center-back during the summer transfer window.

Since joining the team a year and a half ago, the former Arsenal player has established himself as one of the best and brightest young center-backs in the Championship.

However, because the player inked a long-term contract with the team last summer that will continue until 2027, Sunderland’s transfer boss Kristjaan Speakman is safe from offers this summer.
Ballard joined Arsenal for £2 million in 2022, therefore Sunderland is expected to want around £20 million for his services, a huge profit considering the length of his contract and his value to the squad. However, the Gunners may be entitled to certain add-ons.

After receiving ten yellow cards, Ballard will miss the match against Swansea; Jenson Seelt is probably going to start. Luke O’Nien might possibly miss two games due to a single booking.

Regarding incoming transfers, Will Fish, a 21-year-old center-back for Manchester United, has been connected to Sunderland. Should Ballard leave the team, Fish may step in as Ballard’s long-term replacement.
But Middlesbrough and Ipswich Town, Championship opponents, are also rumored to be interested. Michael Carrick and Kieran McKenna are both closely associated with Manchester United, although Sunderland and the Red Devils have recently exchanged deals, with Nathan Bishop and Amad moving to Wearside from Old Trafford in recent seasons.
