Jurgen Klopp, the manager of Liverpool, was astounded to see Leeds United defeat Leicester City.

On Friday, February 23, the Whites defeated the Foxes 3-1 at Elland Road in an effort to go closer to the leaders of the Championship.

Liverpool, who defeated Norwich City in the previous round, will play Championship team Southampton in the FA Cup fifth round on Wednesday, February 28.

During his pre-match press conference, Klopp stated, “I love the Championship,” as cited by BBC Sport. “Last week, I watched Leeds vs. Leicester. Wow.”

“I don’t know how it was nine years ago, but that place plays insanely intense football. We play a lot of games in the Premier League, and they play even more in the Championship; the league is amazing and challenging.

The manner Leeds United defeated Leicester City stunned Jurgen Klopp.
Under the lights at Elland Road, Daniel Farke’s team pulled off an incredible victory, displaying their resiliency despite falling behind early on.

It took a late comeback to secure all three points, and Liverpool manager Klopp was obviously pleased with the way the victory was achieved.

Leeds supporters and players alike will be ecstatic that a manager with Klopp’s background was present, especially considering how he had been getting ready for a major League Cup final matchup at Wembley against Chelsea.

Leeds will now play the Blues in the FA Cup fifth round on Wednesday after the Reds defeated them 1-0 in the capital.

The Merseyside team’s victory in extra time may have done the Whites a great favor, as Mauricio Pochettino’s team may have been worn out and dejected following the loss.
Before the game, Farke might be feeling pressured as well, not sure if he should focus more on winning the league or making a deep run in the FA Cup.
