It is with great pleasure that the Rugby League Players’ Association announces Dylan Edwards, a fullback for the Penrith Panthers, has been selected Player of the Month for March by his fellow NRL players.

Tom Dearden, Nicho Hynes, James Tedesco, Roger Tuivasa-Sheck, and other nominees were not selected ahead of Edwards as the Player of the Month for March.

Penrith kicked off their 2024 title defence in March, and Edwards has been a bright spot ever since. He has averaged over 250 running metres per game, scored two tries, and set up another two.

In 2024, Levels Network will deliver the Player of the Month award. Justin Horo and Willie Mason will reveal the winners and nominees on their highly regarded podcast each month.

Important Dylan Edwards numbers for March:

• Two (2) attempts; two (2) assists for tries

• Average of 253 running metres, including 309 in Round 3; • Three (3) goals; • Eighteen tackle breaks.

The first four rounds of the 2024 season were the rounds that qualified for the March Player of the Month award.

DYLAN EDWARDS IS APPRAISED BY JAMIE BURHER

“The RLPA’s General Manager of Player and Football Operations, Jamie Buhrer, would like to congratulate Dylan Edwards on winning the Player of the Month of March award, which was cast by NRL players.”

“Dylan had a fantastic first month of the season, and getting recognition from your peers for such outstanding work is only a reward for his quick start.

“Dylan has been incredibly consistent since he came into first grade and his ability to roll up the sleeves and do the hard yards or come up with the match turning play has cemented himself as one of the best players in the competition.”
