Carlos Alcaraz is getting ready to go up against the competition at the Indian Wells Masters in 2024. Ahead of his campaign, the Spaniard recently shared details about his strategy.In 2023, Alcaraz triumphed in his third Masters 1000 tournament in Indian Wells. The former World No. 1 defeated Daniil Medvedev in the final, Jannik Sinner in the semifinals, and Felix Auger-Aliassime in the quarterfinals en route to winning the title.

Now that he is back in Tennis Paradise, the Spaniard will be going for his first title of the year and 13th career. At the 2023 Wimbledon Championships, he won his prior championship.
It’s wonderful to return. At his pre-tournament news conference, Carlos Alcaraz stated, “I’m really happy to be able to play here again, a place that I love to play,” according to the ATP circuit. “I adore being in this place. It’s great that I can receive so much tranquility here.”

In his brief career, Alcatraz has successfully defended two titles, and he acknowledged that the level of competition is rising. The second seed is among the favorites to take home the trophy, but Daniil Medvedev, Jannik Sinner, and Novak Djokovic are anticipated to give it a fierce fight. But the Spaniard didn’t waver in his resolve to hold onto the title.

In recent months, Carlos Alcaraz hasn’t played at his peak level. At the Australian Open in 2024, the Spaniard lost in the quarterfinals. He then lost to Nicolas Jarry in the semifinal of the Argentina Open, unable to defend his title.The Spaniard was defending his 2023 second-place result at the Rio Open. His run came to an abrupt halt in the first game due to an ankle injury.

The two-time Grand Slam champion defeated Rafael Nadal in an exhibition match in Las Vegas on March 3. He declared that he is “feeling better” and that his goal in Tennis Paradise is to win the trophy.

Carlos Alcaraz, who was given a bye in the first round, will take against Matteo Arnaldi in the second round of Indian Wells on Saturday, March 9.
