Despite undergoing surgery for a torn medial meniscus two weeks ago in Paris, Novak Djokovic, the world No. 1, has been included in the Serbian Olympic team roster.

Novak Djokovic, despite undergoing surgery for a torn medial meniscus in Paris two weeks ago, has been confirmed to compete in the Olympic tournament scheduled from July 27 to August 4. The Serbian Olympic Committee announced that Djokovic, along with Dusan Lajovic, meets the ATP ranking requirements and has committed to participating in the Olympic Games.

While Djokovic’s singles participation is confirmed, it remains uncertain whether he will also compete in doubles due to his ongoing recovery. His progress in rehabilitation over the next few weeks will be crucial in determining his readiness.

This year marks Djokovic’s fifth participation in the Olympic Games, with a Bronze medal being his best achievement thus far. Winning Olympic Gold remains a significant goal for him, as it is the one major title he has yet to capture.

Although Djokovic looks likely to miss Wimbledon due to insufficient recovery time, no official announcement has been made yet. Updates regarding his participation in upcoming tournaments are expected in the coming days.
