Rhys Healey could play in his first-team debut in HUDDERSFIELD TOWN’s Championship match against Coventry City on Good Friday at John Smith’s Stadium, according to head coach Andre Breitenreiter.

Healey, a Watford transfer during the winter transfer window, has not played since he suffered a groin injury against Sheffield Wednesday at the beginning of February.

Also available for the Sky Blues test is Serbian attacker Bojan Radulovic, a January recruit who has struggled since joining the team because of some persistent fitness concerns.

“Everything is fine and they feel really good, if a little tired after good training sessions,” Breitenreiter stated.

“Due to his strong motivation and extended wait to train with the club, Rhys is an additional option for the squad.

“We began working with him in a non-competitive training session where there was no opponent contact. He advanced in a minor competition last week, and this week he completed all team requirements.

“Let me be clear, he is not ready for ninety minutes. However, if we play for at least 30 or 20 minutes, we might be able to use his experience as a useful tool for the upcoming games.

“Bojan has trained for the past two weeks, participating in every training session alongside the team.

Tom Lees is a crucial player who has been sidelined for a few weeks due to injury. However, he is currently pain-free, so we need to go forward and determine when he can resume team training.

After his international duty with Northern Ireland, Brodie Spencer is available, as is Radinio Balker, who was called up by Suriname during the intermission.

In addition, Breitenreiter stated that the team’s surviving players had several double training sessions during the intermission. “Brodie arrived after playing two games of ninety minutes each, and he performed well and was really happy to win, especially the game against Scotland and he is healthy,” the club president remarked.

“Radinio, who came on Sunday and is in good health, made his debut with his national team. Pat Jones (Wales under-21 team) arrived this afternoon; I’m not sure whether he’s available for Friday because he hasn’t had enough training sessions. However, we’re hoping he’ll be available on Monday.

I’m not sure if he’s healthy either, though.

“At Huddersfield’s non-international players, we combined intense training days with rest days. We also had double sessions every day for the first time, and the boys performed incredibly well, earning themselves a free weekend.
