During the offseason, Alabama football witnessed significant changes in their cornerback lineup. Departures included Terrion Arnold and Kool-Aid McKinstry, both headed to the NFL Draft, along with Trey Amos, who chose to transfer to Ole Miss.

Before his retirement, former head coach Nick Saban recruited Domani Jackson from Southern Cal to bolster the cornerback position. Despite Saban’s departure, Jackson remained at Alabama, receiving commendation from new defensive coordinator Kane Wommack.

Wommack highlighted Jackson’s experience and adaptability to different schemes and cultures. He emphasized the value of Jackson’s previous experience while also acknowledging the learning curve of adapting to Alabama’s specific culture and standards.

Jackson, a highly regarded five-star prospect from high school, stands at 6 feet 1 inch and weighs 190 pounds. He recorded 32 tackles and three pass breakups for the Trojans in the previous season.

Wommack also praised Jahlil Hurley, a returning member of the Crimson Tide, for his exceptional work ethic and dedication. Despite redshirting last season, Hurley’s commitment and progress during the Fourth Quarter Program have impressed Wommack.

Hurley initially joined Alabama as a four-star prospect, and his perseverance has positioned him to compete for a starting role.

Alabama’s spring practice continues, culminating with the annual A-Day game at Bryant-Denny Stadium on April 13th.
