LASTEST NEWS:Looking ahead to free agency, Bills CB is “playing the waiting game.”

General manager of the Buffalo Bills Brandon Beane has his job cut out for him this summer, to put it mildly. Following yet another disappointing playoff loss to the Kansas City Chiefs, Buffalo is facing what will likely be their most difficult summer to date. The Bills have already spent more than $50 million in losses, and a staggering 22 players are set to become free agents. Though it seems reasonable to presume that the majority of these guys have already played their last game while wearing a Bills uniform, nothing is official just yet. It will take time to see what the majority of those players, including CB Dane Jackson, have ahead of them.

“I’m really just biding my time. Just working and keeping my head down while I wait. At this point, I honestly don’t know too much,” Jackson said to Fox News Digital. Over his four seasons in Buffalo, Jackson, a former seventh-round pick out of Pittsburgh, has established himself as a reliable member of the secondary. In the 52 games that he has played in, he has started 28 of them, and his coverage statistics are comparatively good. Jackson’s importance dwindled toward the end of this season, particularly after Rasul Douglas was acquired by the Bills during the trade deadline. Given that Douglas has a more year left on his deal, this may be Jackson’s last year in Buffalo.

A season involves a lot of work. The mere fact that you have to spend time away from your family and work is a major disappointment in and of itself, Jackson remarked. You can’t, however, think about it for too long because, guess what? You must prepare yourself for the return of yet another season. Thus, it’s essentially time to start again from scratch. We have great confidence in our group. And we’ll keep pursuing that objective.”
