Ipswich is commemorating a “landmark day” after securing a £105 million investment from a US private equity firm, Bright Path Sports Partners. This investment will grant Bright Path a 40 percent share in the club, while the current owners, ORG, led by co-founder and Ipswich director Ed Schwarz, will maintain a 50 percent controlling stake.

Schwarz expressed that when they acquired Ipswich Town in 2021, their primary objective was to elevate the club to the Championship and ensure competitiveness at that level. It was always part of the plan to bring on board a partner when the timing was right.
