Marcus Morris, an experienced forward, is joining the Cavaliers on a 10-day contract, according to Shams Charania of The Athletic.Marcus Morris, Minnesota Timberwolves, NBA rumors, and Milwaukee Bucks guard Patrick Beverley of the San Antonio Spurs were the ones who originally leaked the news that Morris would be joining Cleveland.

At the end of last month, Morris was discarded by the San Antonio Spurs.

Morris was moved to the Spurs by the Philadelphia 76ers as part of the three-team transaction that also sent Doug McDermott from the Spurs to the Pacers and Buddy Hield from the Indiana Pacers to the Sixers. Given that the team is rebuilding, Morris’ departure from San Antonio was always anticipated.

Morris is shooting 43.9% from the field, 40.0% from outside the arc, and 86.1% from the free-throw line this season, averaging 6.7 points, 2.9 rebounds, and 0.7 assists. Before being traded, he played in 37 games with the Sixers.

Morris, a native of Philadelphia, has averaged 12.1 points, 4.5 rebounds, and 1.5 assists throughout his NBA career while playing for the Phoenix Suns, Houston Rockets, Detroit Pistons, Boston Celtics, New York Knicks, Los Angeles Clippers, and Sixers.
