According to the complaint, Amerson was transported by medical helicopter to a hospital in Memphis with a broken leg and a significant cut on her head.

Williams consented to take a blood alcohol content (BAC) test after the collision, per court records.

The affidavit said that Williams told the officer he had consumed alcohol earlier in the day when they were traveling to take the exam. “After taking the BAC test, Williams received a score of 0.9.”

Following Williams’ arrest by the police, he was charged with second-degree battery, driving while intoxicated, and driving with a suspended license by Craighead County District Court Judge David Boling on Monday, March 11.
