Joshua Zirkzee, a forward who has garnered interest from both Manchester United and Arsenal, is now AC Milan’s primary target for the upcoming summer transfer window.

With an impressive record of nine goals in 24 Serie A appearances this season for Bologna, the Dutch attacker has caught the attention of many Premier League clubs.

Both Arsenal and Manchester United have been keeping a close eye on the 22-year-old due to his notable performances.

Now, AC Milan has joined the pursuit to secure the talented striker, making him their top priority for the summer transfer window.

According to reports from Gazzetta dello Sport, AC Milan sees Zirkzee as the ideal candidate to potentially succeed the aging Olivier Giroud in the long term.

The Italian giants are actively scouting several young forwards, with Zirkzee currently standing out as their primary target.

AC Milan is also closely monitoring Benjamin Sesko of RB Leipzig as another potential forward option ahead of the summer transfer window.

However, it remains uncertain whether AC Milan can compete with the financial prowess of Arsenal or Manchester United if these Premier League clubs intensify their pursuit and make offers for the striker.

Premier League clubs typically have stronger financial capabilities, which could give them an edge over Milan in securing the services of the former Bayern Munich player.

Arsenal, in particular, is eager to bolster their attacking options following underwhelming performances from Gabriel Jesus and Eddie Nketiah this season. Both strikers have struggled to make a significant impact at the Emirates Stadium, leading to a consensus that Mikel Arteta’s side is just a top-class number nine away from challenging for the Premier League title.

As for Manchester United, they are seeking a player who can alleviate the goal-scoring burden alongside Rasmus Hojlund and fill the void left by the departing Anthony Martial.
