LATEST NEWS: Jeff Zgonina will join the Cowboys as defensive line coach.
The Cowboys are about to appoint a former Commanders assistant to a position on Mike McCarthy’s staff, while the Commanders have named former Cowboys defensive coordinator Dan Quinn as their new head coach.
The Washington Post’s Nicki Jhabvala has reported that Jeff Zgonina will be hired by the Cowboys to coach their defensive line. Zgonina has worked in Washington for the past four years in the same capacity.
Zgonina was the 49ers defensive line coach before coming to Washington. After finishing his 17-year NFL career as a defensive lineman, he has also worked for the Giants and Texans.
Aden Durde was the former defensive line coach for the Cowboys. He is now the Seahawks’ defensive coordinator.
