Dr Rajpal Brar has stated that Oscar Cortes, an attacker for Rangers, is not expected to resume full first-team training until May at the latest.

Because of the procedure, the injury expert says, he will be gone for months instead of weeks.

On March 6, Philippe Clement said that he would be absent for an extended period of time without providing a timetable.

Physical therapist and sports scientist Brar spoke exclusively with Ibrox News about his predicament, stating, “It’s difficult to give a best or worst case scenario because there are no specifics on the region of injury.”

“Given that he had surgery, I think it will take months rather than weeks.

“Since it sounds like a re-injury, that’s always a chance when you go back; that’s just part of the risk.”

“It won’t be until early May at the latest that I see him going back to full training.”

Rangers fans are devastated by Cortes’ injury. The player just recently got to Ibrox in January, but he appeared to be settling in nicely.

Even the supporters welcomed him warmly when he made his debut, and Clement will undoubtedly miss his contributions.

His best performance was in the game he scored and assisted in, a 5-0 victory over Hearts at the end of February.
