LATEST NEWS: The Eagles have hired a new coach

The Philadelphia Eagles have made a significant addition to their coaching staff by hiring Doug Nussmeier as the new quarterbacks coach, as reported by ESPN senior NFL reporter Jeremy Fowler.

Nussmeier brings a wealth of experience to the role, having served as a quarterbacks coach at various college programs, including Fresno State, Alabama, Florida, Michigan, and Washington. His NFL coaching experience includes stints with the Dallas Cowboys and Los Angeles Chargers. Notably, he was part of a coaching staff that secured a BCS national championship in 2012.

Of particular interest is Nussmeier’s prior collaboration with new Eagles offensive coordinator Kellen Moore during their time together in Dallas and Los Angeles.

This move comes as part of the Eagles’ restructuring, which saw changes in coaching personnel, including the departures of Matt Patricia, Sean Desai, and Brian Johnson. Head coach Nick Sirianni remains in his position, and Nussmeier’s arrival adds to the revamped coaching staff, aiming to rebound from a challenging 1-6 finish following a promising 10-1 start to the season.
