On Wednesday, the Toronto Raptors made an announcement regarding the signing of center Malik Williams to a 10-day contract. As per team policy, the specific financial details of the agreement were not disclosed.

Standing at 6-foot-11 and weighing 250 pounds, Williams showcased impressive stats during his time with the Sioux Falls Skyforce, the G League affiliate of the Miami Heat, this season. Across 33 regular season games, including 24 starts, he averaged 11.1 points, 9.3 rebounds, and 1.4 assists in 23.2 minutes per game, shooting .436 (143-328) from the field. Notably, Williams reached double figures in scoring 21 times, achieving a career-high of 29 points on January 19 against the Maine Celtics.

Originally from Fort Wayne, Indiana, Williams went undrafted in the 2022 NBA Draft. He spent the previous season with Anwil Wloclawek in the Polish OBL, where he posted averages of 8.1 points and 5.5 rebounds in 17.7 minutes per game, shooting .445 (89-200) from the field across 31 games, including 18 starts.

Williams played collegiate basketball at Louisville, where he maintained averages of 7.2 points and 5.5 rebounds in 17.9 minutes per game, shooting .444 (311-701) from the field throughout his five seasons from 2017 to 2022, encompassing 123 games, including 62 starts.
