Trevor Bauer will have an opportunity to showcase his skills in Major League Baseball as he pitches against the Yankees for the Mexican League team Diablos Rojos on Sunday. The 2020 NL Cy Young winner is seeking a comeback to the major leagues after a three-year hiatus due to allegations of sexual assault. Having spent the previous season in Japan, Bauer announced on social media that he will be taking to the mound when the Yankees face off in an exhibition game in Mexico City.

In addition to the upcoming game against the Yankees, Trevor Bauer has scheduled appearances for Diablos Rojos in five more games spanning from April 11 to May 8, as he strategically maneuvers for a potential return to MLB.

“It’s the best way for me to stay ready to pitch,” Bauer expressed on X. “This will help me stay in game shape, and I’ll be able to seamlessly transition into a rotation immediately if or when an MLB offer materializes.”

“I hope to see you on Sunday and can’t wait to show y’all what Mexican baseball is all about!” expressed the former Dodgers star.

He hasn’t pitched in an MLB game since being placed on administrative leave in 2021 amid allegations of sexual assault.
