Following a junior day visit to Madison, Torin Pettaway, a three-star in-state defensive lineman from Middleton, received a scholarship offer from Wisconsin Badgers defensive line coach Greg Scruggs. Expressing his excitement, Pettaway described the opportunity to potentially play for his hometown team as “amazing” and a “blessing.”

Ranked as the No. 59 defensive lineman in the 2025 recruiting class and the No. 8 player in Wisconsin according to 247Sports, Pettaway stands at 6-foot-5 and weighs 265 pounds. Despite having only one season of high school football with the Cardinals, he has garnered scholarship offers from notable programs such as Nebraska, Minnesota, UW (Wisconsin), and the USC Trojans.

During his junior season, Pettaway made a significant impact on the field, recording 25 tackles, 5.0 tackles for loss (TFLs), four sacks, two interceptions, and a forced fumble. His outstanding performance earned him first-team all-conference honors, showcasing his potential as a promising talent in the world of high school football.
