In response to Alex Pritchard departing Sunderland during the January transfer window, Dennis Cirkin has shared his thoughts.

So, what have Dennis Cirkin and Jack Clarke messaged Alex Pritchard following his move from Sunderland to Birmingham City? Let’s take a look.

Sunderland loses Alex Pritchard
Apparently, Alex Pritchard has permanently departed Sunderland. The former attacking midfielder for Tottenham Hotspur has joined Birmingham City, a rival team in the Championship. As we revealed on HITC, the Black Cats have received less than £500,000 in transfer fees.

Prior to relocating to Norwich City in 2016, Pritchard, who came through the Tottenham development system and played for the first squad, joined Sunderland in the summer of 2021.

The forward-minded midfield player had great success at the Stadium of Light. He assisted the Black Cats in winning promotion from League One in 2022 with nine goals in 115 games.

Pritchard was one of the reasons Sunderland made it to the Championship playoffs the previous year. In 30 Championship starts, the 30-year-old tallied four goals and provided seven assists.

The Sunderland player Pritchard’s contract was set to expire at the end of the current campaign. He signed a two-and-a-half-year contract and will work with Tony Mowbray, the manager of the Black Cats he previously managed.

Jack Clarke and Dennis Cirkin respond
Dennis Cirkin and Jack Clarke’s responses to Alex Pritchard’s departure from Sunderland on the last day of the January transfer window are displayed below.

Another player who was once on the Spurs roster is Cirkin, a left-back who is 21 years old, and he is sad to see Pritchard go.

Pritchard has also been commended by Winger Jack Clarke. It’s interesting to note that Clarke, a former Tottenham player, was once connected to Lazo in January.

With 43 points from 29 games, Sunderland is currently ranked seventh in the Championship table, while Birmingham City is currently just seven points above the relegation zone.
