Jamison Battle, a forward for Ohio State, deserves a berth on the Julius Erving Award semifinal roster. The best small forward in college basketball is honored with this title. The only Big Ten forward to make the cut was Jamison. The whole Julius Erving Award top-10 list consists of the following:
Drake, Jaylon Tyson, Creighton Tucker DeVries, and Cal Baylor Scheierman Gonzaga, Anton Watson David Jones, North Carolina; Harrison Ingram, Memphis Ohio State’s Jamison Battle Tennessee’s Dalton Knecht Washington Dillon Jones, Weber State, and Keion Brooks Jr.
For the Buckeyes this season, Battle is ranked second in both scoring and rebounds. In a game, he averages 14.1 points and 5.4 rebounds. For Ohio State this season, the senior forward has scored in double figures 17 times. Four times, he has scored more than 20 points.
After the 2022–2023 season, Battle transferred from Minnesota to Ohio State. In December, he scored the most goals of the year against his old team. Battle defeated the Golden Gophers 84-74, scoring 25 points in the process.
