Chicago Bulls wing The Bulls confirmed on Saturday that Zach LaVine will miss the rest of the season following his scheduled surgery to address a right foot ailment next week.

Due to a foot issue that started early in the season, the two-time All-Star missed 17 games. He hasn’t played in the last six games due to an ankle injury sustained last month.

With 25 games played, 28-year-old LaVine concludes his tenth NBA season. He averaged a career-high 5.2 points per game and scored 19.5 points per contest. As the NBA trade deadline approaches this coming week, LaVine was also a crucial component in several reported trades.

LaVine is anticipated to miss four to six months of work.

LaVine, who was selected by Minnesota in 2014 with the 13th overall pick after being selected from UCLA, spent three seasons with the Timberwolves before Jimmy Butler and the No. 16 overall pick, along with Kris Dunn and the No. 7 overall pick, were traded to the Bulls in June 2017.
