LATEST: The Seahawks have appointed Rams assistant to oversee the passing game.

On Thursday, the Seattle Seahawks held a media event to present Ryan Grubb, Aden Durde, and Jay Harbaugh, the new coordinators that Mike Macdonald has hired. Subsequently, the Hawks declared later on Thursday that Devin Fitzsimmons had joined the organization as an assistant special teams coach. As of Thursday afternoon, there is a story that Seattle plans to hire a coordinator for the passing game from the Los Angeles Rams, who play in the same division.

After serving as LSU’s offensive coordinator and quarterbacks coach in 2021, Jake Peetz joined the Rams as a pass game specialist for the previous two seasons. Before that, he played for the Carolina Panthers, the Jacksonville Jaguars, the Oakland Raiders (now in Las Vegas), Washington, and the Carolina Panthers. He also attended Alabama for the 2013 and 2018 seasons.

The only assistant coaches on the offensive side of the ball at this time are Peetz and offensive line coach Scott Huff, though that number is almost guaranteed to rise in the upcoming weeks.
