In order to get Rafael Leao’s signature, Manchester City is prepared to spend a lot of money.

According to Fichajes, Manchester City is prepared to smash their transfer record and spend about €150 million to sign AC Milan winger Rafael Leao in the summer. The attacker has long been admired by Pep Guardiola, who attempted to sign him last summer.

Despite having expressed interest in the player in the past, Chelsea and PSG are not eager to move further. The Blues lack the resources to approve the transaction. To replace Kylian Mbappe, PSG would prefer to get a fresh striker rather than a left winger.

Rafael Leao excels too much.
Currently, one of the best wingers in the world of football is Rafael Leao. Before moving to Lille, he began his professional career at Sporting CP. In the end, AC Milan tempted him away in 2019 with a five-year contract at a cost of €35 million.

In 34 appearances this season, the 24-year-old attacker has nine goals and ten assists. His stakes haven’t decreased despite having a respectable campaign. According to whoscored’s statistics, he is averaging 1.8 shots, 1.5 critical passes, and 2.2 dribbles per game.

Leao is renowned for his quick reflexes, deft dribbles, and powerful finishes. Despite his need for defensive improvement, his ingenuity makes him a tremendous addition to any team. Within his contract, which he recently signed with the Italian team, there is a release clause worth €175 million.

Does Manchester City need to spend big money?
The stakes have increased for Manchester City as AC Milan turned down their €100 million offer for Rafael Leao. Jeremy Doku was brought in by the English Club in the summer to handle the left wing. Though they had a strong start, the player hasn’t been convincing enough lately.

To bolster the team, the Citizens would ideally love to add a well-known left winger. Leao’s participation will undoubtedly help them greatly. They will need to work out a fair transfer fee with his present team, though.
