Following an update from sources close to the player, TEAMtalk can disclose how good Chelsea’s prospects are to sign Leeds winger Crysencio Summerville in the summer. Chelsea manager Mauricio Pochettino is considering a possible summer move.

Despite Chelsea’s dismal performance, Pochettino is under increasing pressure, but the London team is still making plans for the summer transfer window.

Leeds United winger Summerville is one of the exciting targets that the Blues have identified, and TEAMtalk can exclusively reveal that he is one of those that they admire.

Many Premier League teams are interested in Summerville, and according to insiders, Chelsea recruiters have seen him as a player who could succeed at Stamford Bridge.

This season, the 22-year-old has been in incredible form for Leeds, tallying 15 goals and dishing out eight assists.

The fact that the Whites are in second place in the Championship table and are expected to return to the Premier League at the first opportunity is largely due to him.

Chelsea is interested in Summerville because of his age as well. This season, Chelsea has scouted the Feyenoord youth product several times. He has made tremendous progress this term, but there is still much space for development.

If Summerville is chosen to play against the Blues in the FA Cup this evening, the scouts from the team will be keeping a close eye on him. However, he is doubtful because of an injury and might be rested.

According to confidential information provided to TEAMtalk, Chelsea thinks they can have Summerville for a fair price and won’t have to pay top dollar for him.

Summerville is attracting interest from a number of elite teams, including Chelsea. According to TEAMtalk sources, Leeds will still have competition for the winger this summer even if they advance, and a number of teams, including the Blues, are prepared to intensify their efforts to recruit him.

A few of his potential suitors are eager to bring him in and are considering doing business with him. They anticipate that he will be playing in Europe the following year.

This is true even though Summerville is having fun playing football under Daniel Farke and would be content to stay at Elland Road should they not win promotion.

“We are together and have one goal,” Summerville stated in a recent interview with BBC Radio Leeds.

“We support one another a lot, and the coaching staff and staff make it great so we can play well on the field.

I talk to the management a lot about how to be consistent and about my final product. On the pitch, he clarifies things for me, but I know what I can do. You all can see that I’m having fun.

Summerville acknowledges that winning international recognition with the Netherlands is his ultimate goal for this season, but he insists his primary goal is to advance with Leeds.

He stated, “I just give it my all in training and on the field, and I’ll get called up.”

Leeds and Summerville are in a good negotiating position.
Leeds is in a good negotiation position because their star player is now committed to a contract that expires in 2026 and his deal no longer has an active release clause.

Before, he could have left the team for just £20 million thanks to a buy-out provision, but it is no longer in effect.

Summerville is reportedly still very much on Liverpool’s radar, while Aston Villa is also quite interested. Chelsea, on the other hand, is the most recent team that insiders claim are eager to try and pry him away.

Leeds is fortunate to have Wilfried Gnonto, Daniel James, and Jaidon Anthony on loan from Bournemouth among their winger options.

Even though Jack Harrison has stated that he wants to stay at Goodison Park, he may potentially return from his loan with Everton.
