The Kings appeared to seize control after blowing a 14-point lead early on. Over the course of eight minutes in the third quarter, they scored 33 points in a row, giving them a 91-70 lead. In the middle of the rebellion, Domantas Sabonis went on a three-minute scoring binge, scoring four dunks with three assists from De’Aaron Fox.

In their quest for a victory at the beginning of a four-game journey in the West, the Bulls gradually closed the gap over 13 minutes, eventually tying the score at 109-all thanks to a layup by White with 1:32 left.

Following a turnover by the Kings, White missed a 3-pointer, but Vucevic grabbed the offensive rebound and assisted White for a crucial jumper, securing the lead for the Bulls with 47.6 seconds remaining.

Although Fox had an opportunity to regain the lead for the Kings, his 3-point attempt missed the mark with 38 seconds to go. After Sacramento retained possession when the ball went out of bounds, Fox’s errant pass resulted in a turnover, leading to two game-sealing free throws by DeRozan with 3.5 seconds left.

White had a standout performance, scoring 37 points, surpassing his previous career-high set in a game against Sacramento in January 2021. He shot 14-for-19 from the field and 5-for-9 from beyond the arc.

DeRozan contributed 33 points, Dosunmu added 20, and Vucevic tallied 10 points along with a team-high 13 rebounds. Caruso matched White in assists with seven and also recorded four steals.

Sabonis led the game with 21 rebounds and scored 18 points for the Kings, securing a double-double. Despite his return after missing two games due to knee soreness, Fox led Sacramento with 20 points and 10 assists. Huerter contributed 12 points, while Murray and Monk each scored 11, and Barnes finished with 10 points.

Despite their rebounding advantage of 51-32, the Kings couldn’t secure the win.
