After winning the Heisman Trophy as a player for the LSU Tigers, Jayden Daniels is viewed by many NFL evaluators as a potential top-five pick in the 2024 NFL Draft.
Between this week’s scouting combine and commissioner Roger Goodell’s announcement on April 25—the start of the draft—anything may happen. However, a few new hints point to the high expectations for Daniels being true.
Over the next several days, Daniels will actually be holding formal meetings with five clubs, two of which are ranked in the top three of the draft.
Daniels may end up being the second-best quarterback in the draft, behind USC quarterback Caleb Williams, who is regarded as the top prospect by most draft experts. If not him, then other NFL pundits such as North Carolina quarterback Drake Maye.
Therefore, depending on where Williams goes, there is definitely a chance that Daniels would be picked by either the Commanders or the Patriots.
